Make-up Testing hours for Finals Week

The Center for Academic Success Make-up Testing Area has posted its hours of operation for final exam week. Make-up testing will be available during the following days and times:

Monday, Dec. 12
– 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Tuesday, Dec. 13 – 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Wednesday, Dec. 14 – 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Thursday, Dec. 15 – 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Friday, Dec. 16 – Closed. No exams will be proctored on this day.

Students requiring a test reader and/or a private testing room must contact the Center for Academic Success at 786-2396 to schedule an appointment.

Faculty have until 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 16 to pick up completed exams.  Any exams remaining after 11:00 a.m. will be placed in faculty mailboxes. Please contact Irene Siewert at 786-2376 with any questions.

CAS Testing Area Hours – Final Exam Week

The CAS Testing Area will be open and available for test proctoring on the following days this week:
Monday, May 9 | 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Tuesday, May 10 | 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Wednesday, May 11 | 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Thursday, May 12 | 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

The testing area will be closed on Friday, May 13. No tests will be proctored on that day. Faculty have until 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 13 to pick up their exams from the testing area. After 11:00 a.m., all remaining exams will be placed in faculty mailboxes.

Students with disabilities who require a test reader or a scribe may contact the CAS Information Desk at 786-2396 to schedule an appointment with an Academic Success Professional.

International Writing Centers Week

International Writing Centers Week is Feb. 14-20. Join the LLCC Writing Center in celebrating by adding to the collaborative story on their Facebook page or contributing to their Wall of Hearts in the Writing Center. Free goody bags and prizes for students. Visit us in the lower level of the library for more details!

Encourage students to attend Smart Start Seminars!

The Center for Academic Success is offering free Smart Start Seminars in January for students. Please encourage them to attend!

This 50-minute seminar includes: Introduction to college-level study skills, time management, reading and questioning textbooks, taking effective notes, skills to improve your memory, and test-taking tips.

A-Team meets today at noon

The A-Team is meeting today, Oct. 27 from noon-1 p.m. in the R.H. Stephens Room, Menard Hall. The A-Team, or autism awareness and support group, is an informal group of students, faculty and staff who are interested in talking and learning about the challenges and successes of students with autism spectrum disorders.

The Center for Academic Success Testing Area will be offering extended evening hours on Monday, May 11. On this day, the testing area will remain open until 7:30 p.m. to better accommodate students who need to make alternate final exam arrangements with their instructors. Testing area hours of operation for final exam week, as well as service hours for students requiring special final exam accommodations, are listed below.
