8th Annual Foundation Gala earnings

CFA_4757Nearly $67,000 was raised at LLCC’s 8th annual Gala, which was held on Saturday, May 3 in the Student Union.  This money will support students like LaChelle who states: “Every bit of education and opportunity was a big part of shaping me into the person I am today. When I leave here, I won’t think I am ready, I will know. You play a major part in making this happen.”  The Gala is the Foundation’s largest source of unrestricted student support.  The event features the talents of our music and culinary programs.

New names for Learning Lab & Special Needs Office

The Learning Lab is having an identity crisis!  Not really. We are simply changing our name to one that better reflects our departmental mission and goals. As of July 1, 2014, the Learning Lab’s name will change to the Center for Academic Success. Also as of July 1, 2014, the Special Needs Office will change its name to Accessibility Services. Please note that the academic support services currently offered within these areas will NOT be changing.

Attention faculty:  The make-up testing area’s email address has changed! If you wish to email copies of tests to be proctored in our department, please send them to castesting@llcc.edu.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and support as we make the transition to these new names. We also ask that you keep an eye out for any documents or other communication pieces within your respective departments that may need to be updated.  Please contact Julie Clevenger at 786-2365 with any questions.
