Resources for staff training and development

LLCC Human Resources is excited to announce that we have rolled out our new Staff Training and Development page on the Employee Portal. It includes links to resources such as articles, online courses, videos and podcasts to allow you to improve your workplace performance, develop skills in alignment with your career goals and explore areas outside of your workplace comfort zone. Check back often for new information and offerings in the area of professional development.

Survey

Most importantly, it offers you the opportunity to complete a “needs survey” to let us know what you want to see in the area of professional development. Surveys are present for both employees and supervisors; they are located under the section labeled “Quick Links.” All staff are encouraged to complete a survey.

Workshop series

We also invite you to a new ongoing series of workshops to be offered to all staff throughout the year. These sessions will be in person, involving both classroom instruction and interactive activities. For registration, simply confirm your availability with your supervisor and email Alan Pasley.

Upcoming workshop: Goal Setting

Wednesday, Feb. 15, 1-4 p.m., Menard Hall Room 1179 — An introduction to setting goals for your future. The information provided may be used both professionally and in your personal life. By utilizing activities, the participant looks at how daily tasks can be utilized to accomplish lifelong goals.
