African-American History Month activities

LLCC is celebrating African-American History Month during February with various events. The theme for this year’s observance is “Celebrating Our Strengths While Overcoming Our Challenges.”

Activities continue today with HIV/AIDS awareness and testing, 9-11 a.m. in A. Lincoln Commons, sponsored by the LLCC Black Student Union. Also, Soup & Stories “Adversities Are Your Ally” will be presented by Casandra Austin from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Robert H. Stephens Room. The Soup & Stories event, sponsored by the LLCC African-American History Month Committee and LLCC Student Life, is free to students with a  student ID and $3 for non-students.
