LLCC’s Winter Baseball Camp will be held Dec. 27, 28, 29 in Cass Gym. Ages 8-10 attend 9-11:30 a.m. and ages 11 and up from noon-2:30 p.m. Cost is $120 per person (including T-shirt) and $140 after Dec. 20. Call 786.2426 to register.
The camp features professional instruction by Justin Knoedler, former major league catcher and current LLCC assistant coach; Ryan Aper, former LLCC player and 2013 Miami Marlins 6th round draft pick; Ron Riggle, LLCC athletic director and head baseball coach; Eric Weaver, former Major League player (Dodgers and Phillies); and Jason Knoedler, former Minor League player.
Fifteen students graduated in December 2012, making it the largest OTA graduating class to date. All 15 graduates have successfully completed the NBCOT certification examination as first-time test takers. The program accepts 16 students each January.
