“Getting to Know You” choir concert tomorrow

Choir Concert Lincoln Land Community CollegeThe LLCC Choir’s fall concert, “Getting to Know You,” will be held tomorrow at 7 p.m. in A. Lincoln Commons. The free concert will feature a mix of new choral director Laurie Lewis-Fritz’s favorite repertoire including classical, Motown, musical theatre and more.

On Sunday, Nov. 24, The LLCC Big Band will perform at the Festival of Trees at the Orr Building on the Illinois State Fairgrounds from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., followed by LLCC Choir from 1-2 p.m.

Faculty, staff and community members can also join the college’s band and choral groups for the spring 2020 semester through LLCC Community Education.

LLCC Choir

Community Education offers a class is for community members that are not otherwise credit-seeking students at the college and wish to join the LLCC Choir. The class will meet Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 12-12:50 p.m. in Menard 2250 beginning Jan. 13. Students will sing a wide variety of music and have performance opportunities. The class fee is $10. Register by going online via WebAdvisor or calling LLCC Registration at 786-2292, and use course code CEW-102-04.

Join the LLCC Choir!

I hope you’ve enjoyed your summer and got a chance to rest and recharge!

As you are gearing up for the fall semester, I wanted to invite all of you to join the college choir! We meet Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 12-12:50 p.m. in Menard 2250, and the course number is MUS 110. Everyone is welcome. We will be singing a wide variety of repertoire and have a few performances scheduled this semester. HR has tuition waiver forms, so there is only a small fee to join.
