Looking to brush up your Word or Excel skills? LLCC-Medical District is offering Microsoft Office classes on Word and Excel this fall. All classes will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Graded Content workshop provides an overview of the development of Canvas course content and setup of graded assignments that build out the course gradebook. Advanced features such as weighted grades will also be addressed. This session will include instructions on developing quizzes in Canvas, as well as a discussion on quiz settings, question types, and question banks.

As LLCC officially launches Canvas this semester, the Academic Innovation and eLearning team has developed the “Did You Know?” video series to provide quick instructions to common Canvas questions and functions. The first set of Did You Know videos (embedded below) are focused on semester Canvas getting started tips for faculty developing Canvas course shells.

There is still time to sign up for today’s virtual Responsible Employee training from 10-11 a.m. to learn about how to respond to disclosures in a supportive, trauma-informed way; legal mandates and your reporting responsibilities; and LLCC’s reporting and support options.
If you have never attended a Responsible Employee training or want a refresher, be sure to sign up by 9:30 a.m. today using the registration form. This form may also be used to express interest in scheduling a responsible employee training for your department.
