Becky Parton, dean of academic innovation and e-learning, and Dr. Jason Dockter, professor of English, appeared on the FOX-55 Good Day Illinois program Nov. 17 to discuss the 20^th anniversary of online education at LLCC.

Becky Parton, dean of academic innovation and e-learning, was interviewed by WICS/FOX 55 News yesterday on the 20^th anniversary of online education at LLCC. She and Dr. Jason Dockter, professor of English, will discuss the same topic on FOX 55’s Good Day Illinois this Friday, Nov. 17, at 7:15 a.m.

Nancy Sweet, director of culinary programs and operations, is the author of this week’s Epicuriosity 101 column in the State Journal-Register, “A night with good friends and delicious food.”

A Letter to the Editor in the Nov. 10 State Journal-Register praised the Levi, Ray and Shoup, Inc. aviation center and LLCC’s aviation program, quoting director Dave Pietrzak.

Bill Harmon, professor of agronomy, was interviewed by WICS on Nov. 9 regarding the third annual Agriculture Career Expo being held on campus. High school students learned about the many job opportunities available in ag. Dave Pietrzak, director, LLCC aviation program, was interviewed by the Springfield Business Journal on Monday, Nov. 6 regarding the program, job demand for A&P technicians and the new facility. A number of aviation students were photographed for the story, which will run in the November issue of the magazine.

LLCC has a long history of excellence in online education and will celebrate with a 20^th anniversary ceremony on Tuesday, Nov. 14, at noon in A. Lincoln Commons.
