Contacting the IT Help Desk

With the beginning of the spring semester quickly approaching, the IT Help Desk is experiencing a high volume of incoming requests for assistance. In an effort to best serve our customers, we ask that should you be directed to voicemail, please leave a message with a detailed description of your need. Voicemail messages are checked as soon as possible. Also, you may submit your own ticket within the KBOX software (https://help.llcc.edu) and select the LLCC Help Desk queue, or send a detailed email to us at helpme@llcc.edu. We will contact you as soon as we are available. If you are reporting an urgent technological need, please indicate this when you contact us, regardless of method.

Thank you,
IT

New password self-service process

As part of our ongoing commitment to keeping the LLCC network secure, IT is asking all employees who have not changed their passwords since Aug. 1, 2018 to do so by tomorrow, Nov. 16. Passwords that have not been updated by the end of work tomorrow will be reset automatically.

Instructions for how to go about changing your password can be found here: http://it.llcc.edu/change-password.html.

We recognize that this will present a hardship to some users, but this is necessary to ensure that our infrastructure is secure. The new password self-service process automatically blocks commonly used passwords as well as easily guessed passwords. This will significantly improve our overall network security.

Password management changing today

The college is switching password management away from WebAdvisor to a Microsoft cloud solution today, Aug. 13. The first time you access Microsoft Office 365 on a web browser, you will be prompted to provide a secondary email address, a cell phone number or some answers to security questions. These will be used later to send you codes to verify your identity in the event you need to change your password in the future.

Please contact the IT Help Desk should you have any questions at helpme@llcc.edu or 786-2555.

Updates made to login and Office 365 systems over weekend

Over the holiday weekend, IT implemented changes to improve the way users log in and access Office 365. The user experience should be minimally impacted. If you do encounter issues, please try rebooting your computer, and if the problem persists, contact the IT Help Desk at 786-2555.

Thank you for your understanding,
