Online appointment scheduling available for Career Services

Students are now able to schedule their appointments with LLCC Career Services through My Scheduler.

Career Services appointments that students can choose include Career & Major Exploration, Job Search Strategies, Experience Gap, Resume or Cover Letter Development, Resume or Cover Letter Review, or Mock Job Interview.

Please direct students (including our new students) to My Scheduler to make their Career Services appointment.

Career Connections ExpoThe Career Connections Expo, co-sponsored by LLCC, will be held today, Feb. 6, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Recreation and Athletic Center (TRAC) at UIS. Students seeking jobs or internships can network with over 100 employers. Participants are encouraged to bring copies of their resume, dress professionally (business casual) and prepare a 30-60 second “elevator pitch” to market goals, education and job qualifications.

A Coffee and Conversation networking session, featuring Dr. Carmen Allen, professor of computer science, and Cathy Huffman, director, cooperative work experience, will be held from 10-11 a.m. in the Hospitality Area within TRAC.

New grant development process

Need a grant for a project? Follow the new LLCC grant development process!

LLCC New Grant Development Process 2020 version. Start then go to Dept Concept 1 pg paper, in which grant form is completed with required Dept and VP signatures. Then go to Submit Paper and Grant Form (Concept paper and grant form submitted to Director of Grant Dev, Exec Dir of Foundation and Fiscal Office. They will score the proposal with Go/No Go Scorecard. Then Proposal Scored. Then President Decision. If yes, the Application Preparation Begins with the Director of Grant Dev working with Dept Expertise to prepare the Grant application. If no, the Dept revisits proposal.Michelle Pulce-Flynn was recently hired as the director of grant development to pursue new grant opportunities for the college and to centralize and formalize a grant application process. To assist departments in meeting strategic priorities, please review the documents – including an overview, process map, request form and scorecard – on the Grant Development Process SharePoint site.
