Bill Harmon, program coordinator, agriculture, was interviewed by DeLoss Jahnke of RFD Radio yesterday about the LLCC Agriculture Club’s winning performance at the national Professional Agriculture Student (PAS) Organization conference held March 13-16 in Loveland, Colo. LLCC’s soil specialist team won first place overall, with Nathan Goebel taking honors as the high individual overall. The beef specialist team won fifth place, and the college bowl team finished with a 3-2 record, losing to the eventual champions in the quarterfinals. In individual interview events, Lori Jackson placed second in ag education, Nathan Goebel placed third in fertilizer and agrichemicals, and Eston Coe placed third in ag sales.
Steve Bridge of 1450 AM/WFMB interviewed LLCC Agriculture Club students and soil specialist team members Nathan Goebel and Will Rexroad yesterday about their recent first place win at the national PAS competition. They discussed the competition and value of education and club experiences at LLCC.
