Adjunct culinary instructor Jolene Adams, LLCC culinary student Tanner Yancik and Professor of History Dr. John Roberts were interviewed March 27 by Fox News about the student-run Bistro Verde café serving its new fine dining menu. The segment airs on today’s Good Day show.

LLCC student Brianna Stokes was interviewed March 26 by WICS-TV about looking for summer employment.

Colette D’Cruz-Endeley, Ph.D., professor of economics, was interviewed March 21 by WICS-TV regarding rising food prices.

Lisa Collier, assistant vice president, financial aid, was a guest on the Good Day program on Fox 55 March 7. She discussed paying for college and the advantage of starting at a community college.

Look for a story in the April Springfield Business Journal about laid off coal miners taking Truck Driver Training at LLCC in a class especially organized for them. Bob Howard, director, Truck Driver Training, was interviewed March 4 for the story, and six of the students will be interviewed soon.

Scott Stallman, executive director LLCC-Taylorville, Litchfield & Hillsboro and Bob Howard, director truck driver training center, were interviewed on “Ask The Professional” on WTIM. Scott discussed the upcoming summer and fall semesters and Bob promoted the free transportation/logistics program for long term unemployed in addition to the regular truck driver training program.

Lisa Collier, assistant vice president of financial aid, and LLCC student Nicole Judd were interviewed Feb. 27 by WCIA-TV regarding MAP funding and applying for financial aid.

Nancy Sweet, culinary operations manager, and Bistro Verde patrons (you’ll recognize several of them!) are featured in this FOX SCENE segment currently running on Fox 55.

WFMB-AM’s (Sports Radio 1450’s) Shawn Balint came to Bistro Verde for an in-depth interview about the Bistro opening to the public for lunch, along with LLCC culinary programs. The State Journal-Register’s Chris Dettro and photographer David Spencer came out to take photos and interview Nancy and Bistro patrons including Ben Roth, Art Meyer, Scott Ebbing and Amanda Logsdon for a story scheduled to run Monday.
