IDI Grant applications: Promote and celebrate diversity and inclusion

Candace Silas, one of the 2020-21 LLCC Innovation in Diversity and Inclusion Grant recipients says, “The IDI grant was just what the Workforce Equity Initiative needed! WEI did not have marketing or retention funds designated in our first round of funding, and we needed to do a more robust media campaign and enhance our retention efforts. With the help of the IDI grant, we were able not only to meet our grant deliverables but we exceeded them. It also gave WEI the opportunity to show our external evaluators and funding source that LLCC is committed to promoting and celebrating diversity and inclusion.”

It provides a standardized institutional communication distribution guideline to help with understanding, participation in and effectiveness of internal communication processes.

IDI Grant applications: Just do it!

Alex Berry, one of the 2020-21 LLCC Innovation in Diversity and Inclusion Grant recipients says, “Just do it! I had thought about submitting something earlier in the application process, but hadn’t until after talking to an IDI Grant committee member. Then, I decided to go for it. If you have ideas, just ask! The committee is helpful and provides guidance along the way.”
