Using Blackboard Reporting and Statistics to Improve Student Success

What can Blackboard tell you about your course and your students? Using the built-in statistics tools and Retention Center, Blackboard reports can tell you how and when your students are interacting with your course materials and content. This workshop will also address all the different areas of Blackboard that collect student data, as well as a discussion on how to interpret the data and use it to improve student success.

Not many people know that Blackboard has a built-in open educational resources system called Blackboard Open Content. This system is curated and contains course content for a wide variety of subjects. In this workshop, we will go through the process of looking at the different types of content available, finding content relevant to your course needs, and deploying that content in your Blackboard course shell. This week, LLCC Academic Innovation & eLearning is hosting an Online Faculty Roundtable on Wednesday, Feb. 21 from 2:30-3:30 p.m. in the Trutter Center. This session will be a great opportunity for faculty who teach online to come together and share their online teaching and learning experiences.
