The clouds of UTOPIA. David SykesThe latest publication from the LLCC Press, “The Clouds of Utopia,” written by retired LLCC physics professor Dave Sykes, is now available for purchase. GradFest continues today

Summer and fall 2018 graduates and potential spring and summer 2019 graduates are all eligible to participate in Commencement 2019 on May 17, 2019. Students can purchase their caps, gowns and tassels for only $25 at GradFest, which continues today, March 21, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in A. Lincoln Commons. After GradFest, students can purchase their caps, gowns and tassels from the LLCC Bookstore — in-person or online.

Paul Simon Essay Contest

Please encourage students to enter this year’s Paul Simon Essay Contest. An essay of 500 words or less on the topic “How my community college changed my life” gets students entered to win cash and other cool prizes, courtesy of the LLCC Foundation and Bookstore. The local winner will be entered in the statewide competition for the chance to win a $500 scholarship. Students can schedule appointments in the LLCC Writing Center to get help with their essays. Bookstore closed June 26-28 for inventory

The LLCC Bookstore will be closed June 26-28 for its annual physical inventory and audit. Online orders may still be placed on the website, but they will not be fulfilled until after the inventory process. Store operations will resume on Monday, July 2.
