Attend the “Spread the Cheer” Holiday Party Dec. 17 from 2-4 p.m. in the Student Union, Menard Hall. In conjunction with the annual holiday party, a coat drive is being held. Donate a new or gently used coat (or scarf, hat or mittens) beginning TODAY through Dec. 17 and your name will be entered in a drawing for door prizes! Drop-off locations: Advising, Counseling and Career Development Services office or the library circulation desk. You will receive one ticket per item you donate and prizes will be drawn on Dec. 17 the Spread the Cheer Holiday Party. Donations will be sent to Contact Ministries and Springfield School District 186.

I would like to send a sincere thank you to my teammates in the Center for Academic Success, the Writing Center, Sharon Evans, Rebecca Klatt and Carrie Jacobs who donated toward the beautiful flowers and garden stone in memory of my mother, Jean Barnstable, who passed away on Nov. 18. Thank you, also, for the many cards, emails and memorials posted online. It’s a great comfort to know that I have such a warm and caring family here at LLCC!
