Bill Bade, dean of math and sciences, wrote the essay, “Community college a great place to start a STEM career” for the State Journal-Register Our Towns page April 2.

 A State Journal-Register story about the Grow Our Own program at Hanson Engineering and including information on the Open Door program, coordinated by Michael Phelon, was picked up by the Associated Press and ran in newspapers in Washington, D.C., Tampa/St. Petersburg, Miami, Seattle, Boston, St. Louis, Charlotte, Raleigh, Kansas City, Fresno, Wichita, Spokane, Columbia and Hilton Head Island, S.C., among other cities.
