Helpful Tip for Health Savings Account Participants
For those on the High Deductible Plan (HDP) with a health savings account, prescription cost management is a critical aspect of managing your health savings account funds. Under the HDP, prescription drug expenses must go to deductible first before co-insurance will be applied to those claims. The retail cost of some prescriptions is fairly high. To help manage those costs, there is a helpful website, www.goodrx.com. This website will search local pharmacies and provide you with the retail cost of that prescription, so you may comparison shop. The website also provides you access to discounts and coupons for many prescription drugs.
Please look for more useful tips in future Linc articles! If you have a cost-saving tip that you would like to share, please contact Nicole Ralph in the Human Resources office at 6-2342 or nicole.ralph@llcc.edu.
