Attendees at last Saturday’s 11th annual LLCC Foundation Gala “MadParty” walked into a late 1960s atmosphere and a gorgeously decorated Student Union. Culinary students prepared and served a delicious gourmet dinner, the LLCC Big Band provided music, and guests enjoyed a silent and live auction, wall of wines and dancing, with all proceeds benefiting LLCC students. A draft of LLCC’s 2017 Systems Portfolio is available on the AQIP page at this time. If you would like to comment on any of the 6 Categories, please use AskAQIP@llcc.edu. Comments submitted to this email address will be reviewed by the AQIP Steering Team co-chairs. Please do not send us grammatical errors, widowed text, style issues, etc. Those will be addressed in the edit that is taking place concurrent to the internal comment period. The comment period will close on Thursday, May 18, and the edited Systems Portfolio will be submitted to the Higher Learning Commission on Wednesday, May 31. An overview of the Systems Portfolio (RdgSysPortMay2017) and the comment period is provided to guide your review.
Calling all Cardinals fans–STL Cardinals tickets available for purchase!
The Foundation has four dugout box seats and a parking pass available for the Tuesday, May 16, 7:15 pm Cardinals game in St. Louis against the Boston Red Sox. The Foundation is offering these tickets to anyone who wishes to purchase them for a required amount of $455 – as requested by the donor (face value of the tickets is $153 each).

Commencement faculty/administrator line of march
The line of march Line-of-March 2017Rev 050817 is an APPROXIMATION of where you will be seated during the 2017 commencement ceremony. The faculty marshals this year are Michael Ramm and Jason Dockter, and they will direct you to the appropriate location during the seating process. There are 10 seats in a row, so, if there are last-minute no-shows or people line up a bit differently than what is listed (which is fine), you may be in a different row than what is designated in the line of march document.
The line of march will be posted in several locations on the ramp to refer to upon your arrival. Please line up according to that list. If you believe you should be somewhere else in the line or want to sit by someone specific, feel free to move there. No one monitors or checks the order of the lineup for faculty and administrators. Our goal is to have two equal lines. The only exception is faculty emeriti who will be lined up at the head of the line.
Commencement is a time when the focus is on our graduating students and their accomplishments. We appreciate your attendance at the ceremony and look forward to celebrating the accomplishments of our students together.
PLEASE NOTE!!! Parking will be a challenge. Leave earlier than you had planned. Springfield is expecting several thousand people downtown the same evening as commencement for the Fat Ass 5K street party.
50th Anniversary Event at LLCC-Litchfield this evening
A 50th anniversary event will be held at LLCC-Litchfield this evening from 5-7 p.m., with a special presentation at 5:15 p.m. The event will be held in the Charles Long Auditorium, Fine Arts and Technology Building, #1 Lincoln Land Drive, Litchfield
LLCC-Litchfield is hosting a Business After Hours event with the Litchfield and Hillsboro Chambers of Commerce as part of LLCC’s 50th anniversary events. A special presentation includes remarks by LLCC President Dr. Charlotte Warren and proclamation presentations by City of Litchfield Mayor Steve Dougherty and City of Hillsboro Commissioner of Streets and Public Improvements Don Downs on behalf of Hillsboro Mayor Brian Sullivan.
“Forward: An Anniversary Exhibition,” featuring 50 years of photos and history of LLCC, also will be on display.

LLCC-Jacksonville 50th anniversary celebration
LLCC-Jacksonville celebrated the college’s 50th anniversary Friday, May 5 with a Chamber Business After Hours, LLCC historic display, art exhibit and presentation with speakers Craig Findley, immediate past LLCC Board of Trustees chair and current trustee; Dr. Charlotte Warren, LLCC president; and Jacksonville Mayor Andy Ezard, who presented a resolution from the city honoring the college.

Upcoming 50th anniversary observances include: LLCC-Litchfield, this evening from 5-7 p.m.; LLCC-Beardstown, Wednesday, May 17, 4:30 – 6:30 p.m.; and LLCC-Taylorville, Tuesday, May 23 during an advisory committee meeting.(The original event at LLCC-Taylorville scheduled for April 29 was cancelled due to inclement weather.)

Spring semester, Mod IV and short-semester grades are due Monday, May 15 at noon. Dual credit grades are due June 9.
Incomplete grades from the fall semester are also due this week.
