For Sexual Assault Awareness Month in April, LLCC will be presenting the “What Were You Wearing?” exhibit aimed at challenging the damaging myth that survivors of sexual assault are at fault. This exhibit showcases a collection of clothing worn by survivors during their assault, paired with personal stories that dispel this misconception and highlight the diverse realities of sexual violence.
To bring this exhibit to life, LLCC Student Services is seeking specific clothing items to complete the curated outfits. The following clothing items are needed:
- School gym shorts and T-shirt (size to fit a 12-year-old female)
- T-shirt from elementary school and flared jeans (size to fit an eight-year-old female)
- T-shirt and jeans (size to fit a 12-year-old female)
- Wide legged jeans, an oversized cream color sweater and a pair of white tennis shoes (size to fit a college-aged female)
- A flannel shirt, a grey T-shirt and jeans (size to fit a college-aged female)
- Jeans and a T-shirt (size to fit a high-school-aged female)
- Child’s dress (size to fit a five-year-old female)
- Pink shirt and capris (size to fit a 10-year-old female)
- Flannel pajamas (size to fit an adult female)
- Pajamas (size to fit an eight-year-old female)
- Pajamas (size to fit a six-year-old male)
- Pair of jeans and a sweater (size to fit a college-aged female)
- Boy’s baseball uniform (size to fit a 10-year-old male)
- Homecoming dress (size to fit a high-school-aged female)
- Disposable baby diaper
- T-shirt and shorts (size to fit a six-year-old male)
- Bathing suit (size to fit a 13-year-old male)
Donations are being collected in a box located near the front desk of the Student Services Hub.
