Today, Oct. 10, is World Mental Health Day. In support of this observance, employees will be able to participate in the following activities:
- A Walk the Walk event at 10 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. Participants can meet in front of Cass Gym. This event is designed for employees to participate in two 10-minute walks (10 a.m. and 2 p.m.) or a longer walk at 12:30 p.m. In addition, employees will be offered the opportunity to connect with other staff during this time.
- Mindfulness practice at 1:45 p.m., 2:45 p.m. or 3:45 p.m. in the Trutter Center. This event is designed to provide an example of mindfulness practice for employees to assist with stress reduction. The exercise will last no more than 10 minutes and follow-up information will be made available.
- A resource table featuring the wellness wagon from 2:30-4:30 p.m. in the Trutter Center. The table will be available to share information pertaining to mental well-being tips and strategies to maintain and/or improve mental health.
