Feminist Activist Coalition seeking submissions for spring monologues performance

The LLCC Feminist Activist Coalition is developing a production inspired by the social activism work of playwright Eve Ensler titled “(Cis)ciety Interrupted” and is seeking submissions from the public.

The coalition is looking for theatre monologues, dialogues or ensemble pieces of one to seven minutes expressing how gender, race, ethnicity, age, body image or sexuality has impacted one’s experiences in the world. While anyone of any age may write and submit a piece, performers must be at least 18 years old. All submissions are due by Feb. 1 to the coalition advisor, Dr. Deborah Brothers, LLCC professor of English, at deborah.brothers@llcc.edu.

The performance is scheduled for March 31-April 1 at the Trutter Center.
