LLCC approved as an entitled institution for Gateways to Opportunity Credentials

LLCC has been approved as an entitled institution through 2023 for the Gateways to Opportunity ECE Credential – Levels 2, 3 and 4; Infant Toddler Credential – Levels 2, 3 and 4; and Illinois Director Credential – Level 1. As an entitled institution, students at LLCC have the opportunity to qualify for state recognized credentials as they take courses or complete a degree through LLCC Early Childhood Education.

LLCC is among a select group of institutions in Illinois to be entitled for the Gateways to Opportunity Credentials. All Gateways to Opportunity Credentials have competencies that reflect multiple professional standards, including National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and the Illinois Professional Teaching Standards.

Child Development Center achieves new, five-year term of accreditation

The LLCC Child Development Center has achieved a new, five-year term of National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) Accreditation, which is the gold standard for early childhood programs across the country. The NAEYC Accreditation of Early Learning Programs commends LLCC’s center for its commitment to continuous quality improvement.
