He earned a master’s degree in college student personnel from Arkansas Technical University and a bachelor’s degree in sociology with a minor in women and gender studies from Eastern Connecticut State University. Congratulations to Casey Hoenes, assistant professor of nursing, and his wife on the recent birth of their son. Baby Wade was born on May 24, 2021, and all are happy and healthy. Congratulations, Hoenes family!
Our sympathy to family and friends of June Rutherford, former LLCC secretary for the vice president, academic services, who passed away May 30. She was one of the first employees at LLCC in 1968, and later returned to the college to work from 1977-1994. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service (noon) at Auburn United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Auburn Cemetery. Read the obituary.
