Megan Bierbrodt, program assistant, Workforce Equity Initiative, joined LLCC July 3. She previously worked as a billing specialist/sales coordinator for an IHG company in the hospitality industry. She also has experience working in student mental health at the Labette Center for Mental Health Services. Megan studied psychology at Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas.
Andre Rye, student success coach, joined LLCC June 19. He previously worked as a family and community engagement (FACE) liaison for District 186 at Springfield High School. Prior to that, he worked with students at Southeast Highschool and Springfield Urban League. Andre earned a bachelor’s degree in business and economics from Benedictine University.
Liz Bland joined the college June 1 as agriculture program specialist. She earned an associate in science from LLCC and a bachelor’s degree in crop and soil science from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. Liz previously worked in ag recruitment at SIUC.
Jacob Beaird joined the college June 12 as research and analytics associate I. He previously provided IT support for SHIELD at University of Illinois. MaryShannon Williams, Ph.D. joined the college June 1 as the director, faculty development. She is in her 24th year working in education, which includes a background in both K-12 and higher education, most recently at Purdue. She earned a bachelor’s degree in film production from University of Texas at Austin, a master’s degree in learning, design and technology from University of Texas at San Antonio and a doctorate degree in learning technologies from University of Missouri. LLCC alum Susan Boehler is a student success coach for the college. She has 26 years of experience in higher education, including Lincoln College, Benedictine University and University of Illinois Springfield. Lisa Clanton also serves as a student student success coach for LLCC. She is originally from Springfield and worked seven years in advising for Southern Illinois University Carbondale in the areas of athletics, business and analytics, and engineering.
