Welcome Week volunteers needed for A. Lincoln Commons and other campus buildings

Help new students get a great start to the fall semester by answering their questions and providing directions! Public Relations and Marketing is looking for volunteers to assist at the welcome table in A. Lincoln Commons and also in Millennium Center, Logan Hall, Montgomery Hall and the Workforce Careers Center Aug. 19-22 during the first week of fall classes.

Silent Auction needs volunteers; items still accepted!

The Silent Auction to benefit the Career Development Services emergency student fund is this Thursday and Friday and has more items than ever! Volunteers are needed to help with set up on Wednesday. Please contact Career Development Services (6.2210) if you can spare some time Wednesday. (You’ll also get a sneak preview of all the great donations!)

And, if you haven’t donated items yet, bring them by Career Development Services!

 

Multicultural Fest Oct. 2–still in need of a few volunteers!

The 10th annual Multicultural Fest is this Wednesday, Oct. 2 outside the A. Lincoln Commons and is scheduled over two time slots, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and 4-6 p.m.  Entertainment includes local artists as well as Xperimento, a Florida-based nationally touring multicultural band, performing from 11:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m.  A 10th anniversary commemoration will follow. A few volunteers are still needed for various jobs. Day of Service Oct. 19 – Site Leaders needed

On Saturday, Oct. 19 the Student Life Office is holding LLCC’s first Day of Service as a part of the Club Leadership Series and the Emerging Leaders program. Confirmed service sites include: Mission Outreach, The American Red Cross, Lincoln Memorial Garden, and The Salvation Army. We’re currently looking for faculty/staff members interested in being site leaders to assist in transporting students to the service sites and to serve alongside them.
