LLCC farm stand open today!

You can buy fresh, organically grown produce at affordable prices at the LLCC farm stand, located in A. Lincoln Commons from 1:30-4:15 p.m. today. Youth of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Illinois will be working at the stand as part of their entrepreneurial training program, which is made possible by a grant from North Central Region Sustainable Agriculture, Research and Education (NCR-SARE). Please note the stand accepts cash only, and small bills are appreciated.

Tuesday workshop will provide overview of Office 365

A workshop will be held on Tuesday, June 27, from 2-3:30 p.m. in Menard Hall, room 1173, that will provide an introduction to Microsoft Office 365, which is a cloud-based collection of apps and services (email, calendars, Office programs, OneDrive storage, document sharing, and more) that can be used from just about anywhere! Registration for this workshop is required, so please contact Jeris.Creasey@llcc.edu to secure your spot.

End-of-month deposits are due Wednesday by noon

The deadline to submit your deposits to the finance department is Wednesday, June 28, by noon! Please hand the deposits to Elyse Calhoun, Libby Elder or Robin Ackman as monies should not be left unattended.

As a reminder, if you have taken in funds, it is necessary to submit them and the corresponding deposit slips to the finance department on a daily basis.

Bookstore closed on Wednesday and Thursday this week

The LLCC Bookstore will be closed for its annual physical inventory on Wednesday and Thursday, June 28 and 29. Normal summer hours will resume July 3. Summer bookstore hours are Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sale and rental of books for fall will begin on July 18.

Email phishing alert

Several users have reported getting an email, appearing to be sent from an IT desk with the subject EMAIL ACCOUNT CLOSURE. The email includes a link labeled UPGRADE NOW. This email is NOT from our IT department and is a phishing attempt to acquire users’ logon credentials. Please disregard the message and delete the email. If you have already given your information, you should login to WebAdvisor and change your password immediately.

Phishing is a common identity theft method used by fraudulent parties. NEVER send your personal information including passwords, user IDs, credit card numbers or a Social Security Number via email. Passwords should NEVER be shared with ANYONE in any form.

LLCC hosted meeting on nutrient loss reduction

David Bowman, workforce development program coordinator, hosted Illinois’ quarterly Alphabet Soup meeting on Monday, June 19, in the Trutter Center. Alphabet Soup is a voluntary, informal representation of government agencies, non-government organizations and individuals. The consortium’s session covered agricultural watershed issues and successes in Illinois and was followed by a tour of LLCC’s recent upgrades to its agricultural soils lab.

Sign a book for Chad Jones

Sylvester “Chad” Jones recently retired as a building custodian. If you were unable to sign the book at his retirement party and would like to do so, the book is located in Mason Hall. Contact Maureen Curry, facilities office coordinator, for more information at 6.2304.
