SAVE THE DATE: STUDENT RECOGNITION CEREMONY 2024

Each year the college takes an evening to recognize the valuable contributions of our students during the LLCC Student Recognition Ceremony. Academic and leadership awards will be given, in addition to special awards. Please save the date to celebrate together! The 2024 ceremony will be held on Wednesday, May 8 at 6 p.m. More information about submitting honorees and how to RSVP for the event will be sent out in March. African-American History Month continues with a look at Mental Health

African American History Month. A Celebration of the Arts.LLCC Honors African American History Month: “A Celebration of the Arts.” The next event is “Mental Health and the Arts: Rebuild to Reclaim” on Friday, Feb, 23 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in A. Lincoln Commons.

This event will include a film viewing and discussion on ways to destigmatize mental health in the African American community. Attendees will have the opportunity to speak with representatives from Memorial Behavioral Health and participate in activities that can support positive mental health – Black History Bingo, bracelet-making, and more. Refreshments will be served.

Wednesday, Feb. 21: It’s Homecoming! Let’s Have a Ball

  • Lincoln Commons from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
  • Play a few games (i.e., arcade basketball, bingo) and don’t miss the last chance to vote for Homecoming Royals.
  • Fudge puppies will be served starting at 10:30 a.m.
  • 5:30 p.m. – Women’s Homecoming basketball game in Cass Gym.
  •  7:30 p.m. – Men’s Homecoming basketball game in Cass Gym.
    • LLCC Student Life, Athletics, Foundation and PRM are teaming up to host LLCC’s Homecoming games!
    • Royalty announced, shoot-out contests, SGA sponsored student section (w/ prizes!), Free meal tickets to first 200 attendees.

National FFA Week Photo happens today at 9:45 a.m.

LLCC Agriculture  invites all faculty, staff and students who were FFA members in high school to bring their FFA jacket for a photo today, Feb. 21.

We want to showcase all of our previous FFA members for social media. If you are interested in participating, please join us in the lobby of the Kreher Agriculture Center at 9:45 a.m. today for a group photo. And no need to worry, if your high school jacket won’t fit, you won’t have to wear it for the photo!

Submit FY25 project plans for cost estimates by March 1

If you are planning to submit any small projects as part of the FY2025 budget and planning process, please ensure that you reach out to Tim Ervin, director construction, environmental health and safety, with your project plans and scope by no later than Friday, March 1. This will allow time to have a cost estimate done for your proposed project so you can submit the formal FY25 planning request by the deadline.
