Keeping connected with students

Kim Young's remote office

Facebook group post: “One of my daughters was tasked with drawing a snapshot of her new day as a result of our current upheavals. I pass that challenge along to you all. Share a snapshot of your new day. Here’s mine!”

Looking for ideas on how to keep connected with your students? Kimberly Young, program assistant, health professions, is finding fun ways to keep nursing students connected during this time of remote learning. Each day she sends a fun “Keeping Connected” post to the nursing student Facebook group. For instance, in honor of the Year of the Nurse, Kim sent them a link to a virtual tour of the greats in nursing history.  In addition, she has started a remote office challenge asking them to share a picture of their new day, and she shared a picture of her remote office accommodations.
