LLCC entries earn four city-wide OMOT ribbons

On My Own TimeCongratulations to several LLCC artists honored with awards Wednesday evening at the city-wide On My Own Time (OMOT) art exhibit. This year, 120 OMOT artists submitted 241 entries at 11 in-house exhibits in the Springfield area. LLCC employees were awarded four ribbons at the city-wide exhibit, which is on display through Saturday, Nov. 23 at the Springfield Art Association, 700 N. 4th St. LLCC winners are:

Photography – First Place – Chris McDonald, “The Local”

Drawing – Third Place – Greg Walbert, “Lincoln”

Painting– Honorable Mention – Greg Walbert, “Giraffe”

Photography – Honorable Mention – Michelle Burger, “Primpin’ Ain’t Easy”

Works of art from Springfield Area Arts Council (SAAC) board members are also featured at the exhibit. Lindee Hall’s “Cacti Defender” is on display. She currently serves as secretary on the SAAC board.

OMOT is a program of the Springfield Area Arts Council. The purpose of OMOT is to help local businesses, agencies, educational and medical institutions identify and celebrate the artistic talents of people they employ.
