This year, Take a Stand Tuesday will kick-off Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month at LLCC, taking place all day tomorrow, April 2, in A. Lincoln Commons. Take a Stand Tuesday is an annual event which allows faculty, staff and students to show the campus community that they are committed to taking a stand against sexual assault. To participate, interested parties can sign up for a time slot. Individuals and groups are both welcome. Just remember that the goal is to have all time slots filled from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The objective is to provide our campus community with an all-day learning opportunity about how individuals can help prevent sexual assault and support survivors, as well as to symbolize our collective commitment to “taking a stand” against sexual assault. Educational materials and hand-outs will be provided. Help us carry out this year’s theme, “Awareness to Action” by signing up for your time slot now!
