How your gift assists those in poverty

Dr. Donna Beegle spoke at Professional Development Day about growing up in generational poverty and the roadblocks that presented in her life. That same poverty exists in our communities. United Way funds programs that address financial stability, providing individuals the education, skills and supports to lead financially stable lives, including Memorial Behavioral Health: Transition from Homelessness; Helping Hands of Springfield: Stable S.M.I.L.E.; Springfield Urban League, The Empowerment Program; Senior Services of Central Illinois: Elder Assistance; United Cerebral Palsy: F.I.T program; and M.E.R.C.Y. Communities: Permanent Supportive Housing and Transitional Living Program.

Financial Stability - providing individuals and families the education, skills and supports needed to have financially stable lives. Community Priorities.
