LLCC Nursing students inducted into honor society

Fifteen second-year nursing students from the LLCC Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) program were inducted into the Beta Nu Chapter of the Organization for Associate Degree Nursing (OADN) Alpha Delta Nu Honor Society on April 26. The students had to maintain stringent academic requirements and complete a capstone community education project to be eligible for membership.

Students were honored at a special ceremony on campus. The students received a certificate, an Alpha Delta Nu Honor Society pin and peach honor cords to wear at commencement. The co-advisors are Mary Goldstein, nursing professor, and Anatasia Till, nursing instructor.

The objective of the OADN Alpha Delta Nu Nursing Honor Society is to recognize the academic excellence of students in the study of ADN. The society encourages the pursuit of advance degrees in the profession of nursing as well as continuing education as a lifelong professional responsibility. The society also participates in the recruitment of qualified individuals into the nursing profession.
