WICS, FOX55, WAND and Access 4-Springfield covered the press conference yesterday at LLCC in which the 2017 City of Springfield Ornament was unveiled. The ornament, designed by Greg Walbert, graphic design manager, celebrates the 50th anniversary of LLCC. It is available for purchase from the LLCC Bookstore and the proceeds benefit St. Joseph’s Home, a not-for-profit nursing home serving Springfield’s elderly. Speakers at the press conference included Sister Lenore Highland of St. Joseph’s Home; Dr. Charlotte Warren, LLCC president, who recognized LLCC Board Chair Dennis Shackelford; and Springfield Mayor Jim Langfelder.
