LLCC Public Relations and Marketing won the Gold (1^st place) award in the category of Print Advertisements, and the Silver (2^nd place) award for Television/Video Advertisement, in the Medallion Awards sponsored by the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations, District 3, covering the states of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin and the Canadian province of Ontario.

In addition, Kyla Kruse, assistant director, public relations, was awarded a competitive scholarship to attend the NCMPR District 3 and 5 joint conference Oct. 1-3 in Davenport, Iowa.
