What is OneDrive and should you use it?

OneDrive is part of Microsoft Office 365 and is an online (cloud) file storage application. Each LLCC account is provided with 1TB of storage space for files, photos, videos, etc. OneDrive should be used to store your LLCC documents that would normally be stored on your individual network folder (Ex. \\llcc.edu\academia\educators or \\llcc.edu\departments\) and\or your office computer documents folder or desktop.

After the Spring 2017 semester ends, LLCC will be converting to this data storage system in place of the current network folder structure.  As such, you are strongly encouraged to begin uploading your files to OneDrive and\or attend a training session held in Academic Innovation and eLearning computer lab (faculty and staff are both welcome to attend). Click here to view the schedule and register for a session.

There are two ways to access Office 365, OneDrive and other online applications. Log into your LLCC Email account via the web (www.llcc.edu, My LLCC, Email) click on the apps icon (waffle) or the Office 365 link in the upper left of the window. You can access this directly at  https://portal.office.com  and login with your LLCC Email address. If prompted, choose the Work or School Account option.

For assistance installing the OneDrive App please contact the IT Service Desk at 217.786.2555 or submit a ticket via KBOX.
