OFFICE 365 COMING FOR FACULTY AND STAFF

ITS is in the process of migrating all LLCC Email accounts for Faculty, Adjuncts, and Staff to Office 365. This should be a seamless transfer of data. You will continue to use the Outlook desktop application while at work and use the Outlook Web Access when off-campus. What does this mean for you?

After migrating your account to Office 365, you will have access to many new tools such as Clutter (Email filtering that helps to prioritize your Inbox), Office 365 online applications (One Drive, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and Sites) and the ability to install Office 2016 on your personal devices for free.

How do I access the Office 365 applications?

You can access all of the Office 365 applications from https://portal.office.com/myapps

You can also access any of the apps while logged into Office 365 by clicking on the Office 365 icon at the top left while logged into email.

How will I know when I have been moved to Office 365?

Please watch for an Email from the ITS department notifying you when the move will take place. The old Email link on My LLCC will return an error when you attempt to login. You will need to use the Email (365) link under Faculty/Staff Resources on the My LLCC web page.

I have been moved to Office 365 and now the link to the Email site does not work for me.

Once the migration has been completed, you will access your OWA Email via http://www.llcc.edu, My LLCC and click on Email (365) under the Faculty/Staff Resources section. You will be redirected to Office 365. Select your LLCC Email address (type this in if not already populated) and it will automatically log you in on-campus when using IE or Chrome. If you are using Firefox for your browser you will be prompted to enter your username and password in the ‘adfs security’ window.

Do I need to update my phone or tablet to access LLCC email?

Yes, your mobile device will need to be updated to continue accessing LLCC email. Click here to find an extensive list of instructions.

Where can I look for more information about Office 365?

Once your account has been migrated, you can access the LLCC Home Site for Office 365. Click here to access or after you are logged into OWA, click on the Office 365 icon at the top left while logged into email, click on Sites, and under Recommended Sites (to the right), click on Starting 365.
