CANCELLED: Monday, Sept 15Soup & Stories “Tower of Refuge, Inc.” presentation in the R.H. Stephens Room from 12-1 p.m.  Lunch will still be available for students and employees.

Bake sale for PTK:  Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society is holding a bake sale from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in A. Lincoln Commons. Proceeds will be donated to the ALS after the Phi Theta Kappa officers complete an Ice Bucket Challenge later this week. These activities are being held in conjunction our chapter’s participation in the “Week of Compassion” from Sept. 15-21.  Please support this worthy cause!

Bistro To Go opens today! The student operated café will sell ready-to-eat soups, salads, sandwiches and assorted baked goods for take-out only.  Menu selections will vary each day. Wednesday, Sept. 17: Name That Amendment:  Come to the A. Lincoln Commons at 11 a.m. to play trivia on the U.S. Constitution for prizes!  

Constitution Day program at noon entitled “Free Speech Under Fire: Does the First Amendment Apply to Higher Education?” The presentation by Anthony DiMaggio, Ph.D., LLCC political science assistant professor, and John K. Wilson, co-editor of AcademeBlog.org and editor of Illinois Academe, takes place in the Trutter Center.  For more information about the presentation, click HERE

A Blood Drive will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Student Union, Menard Hall.

Thursday, Sept. 18: Showoff YOUR culture! Come to the A. Lincoln Commons from 11-12:30 p.m. to help us decorate mini flags to have YOUR culture represented at our Multicultural Festival on Oct 1st!

Friday, Sept. 19: Club Information Day! Stop by the R. H. Stephens room from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. to learn about the various clubs at LLCC and GET INVOLVED! Free Subway lunches are available to the first 250 LLCC students  with valid student id at 11:30am. LOGGERPALOOZA 2014 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Students, faculty, and staff ALL invited – Come to outside of the A. Lincoln Commons to enjoy live  entertainment by Patrick Lentz, vendor booths, and campus services.

Sunday, Sept. 21: Recital Series performance of “Classical guitar music from Europe, South America and Japan” by Russel Brazzel at 4 p.m. in the Trutter Center. Click HERE for more information.
