Current and returning students can register for summer and fall classes quickly and easily at an upcoming RAPID REGISTRATION event! Upcoming events will be held:
• Thursday, May 28, noon-2 p.m., Student Services Atrium, Menard Hall
• Tuesday, June 2, noon-2 p.m., Student Services Atrium, Menard Hall
• Wednesday, June 3, 5-7 p.m., Student Services Atrium, Menard Hall
• Thursday, June 4, 3-5 p.m., Student Services Atrium, Menard Hall

In less than two hours, a student can:
• Find out what classes they need to obtain their certificate and/or degree
• Discuss course options with an academic advisor
• Schedule summer and/or fall 2015 classes
• Finalize payment options: financial aid, payment plans, etc.
• Estimate textbook costs
• Refresh LLCC technology skills: WebAdvisor, Blackboard, email and LLCC Connect

LLCC-Taylorville hosted the Greater Taylorville Chamber of Tville Busn After HoursCommerce “Business After Hours” event on Wednesday, May 20. Several Chamber members gathered to learn about the educational opportunities available in the Taylorville area and to network.

Network maintenance Friday morning

ITS is performing standard network maintenance on Friday, May 29, affecting both Logan Hall and the Workforce Careers Center.  Workforce’s network connectivity, including client PCs and Lync phones, will be intermittent from 7AM to 8AM. Following that, one of the switches in Logan Hall is being replaced from 9AM to 11AM. PCs and Lync phones will be fully offline for the duration of that maintenance window.

Notice from Finance Department: Deposits due today

The deadline to submit your deposits to the Finance Department is TODAY, May 27. As a reminder, if you’ve taken in funds, it is necessary to submit them and corresponding deposit slips to the Finance Department on a daily basis.

Congratulations to the Loggers on a great season!

Congratulations to the Loggers baseball team on a great season! Despite a quick three-run second inning, the Loggers fell short one run in 10 innings to lose to Catawba Valley, 9-8. Catawba Valley scored six big runs in the bottom of the third inning, to take the lead 6-3. LLCC came back to tie the game 8-8 in the eighth inning. Unable to produce the go-ahead run, the Loggers lost in the bottom of the 10th on an unprecedented wild pitch.

LLCC ends their season and a bid for a World Series championship with a record of 42-16.
