It’s Hammer Time!

Back to the 90s. LEAGUE. LLCC Foundation 2020Do you remember the 90s when Vanilla Ice and New Kids on the Block ruled the airwaves, Friends and Seinfeld were da bomb, and your new crush was all that and a bag of chips? Join the LEAGUE Committee on Tuesday, March 24 for a “No Soup For You” style lunch and plenty of 90s trivia. And oh, “my bad,” you can also make your donation to the annual faculty and staff giving campaign known as LEAGUE. LEAGUE is an acronym for Leaders Establishing Gifts Underwriting Education. Funds are used to support students and programs at LLCC in the form of scholarship support as well as grants to departments and programs for projects not covered in their budgets.

So dig out a 90s photo of yourself with your Rachel haircut or flat top, take a photo of it with your cell phone and email it to LLCCFoundation@llcc.edu. And be thinking of your favorite 90s show, band, sports team, etc. to use in the Office Door Decorating Contest.

Today is LLCC Giving Day

NOTE: Use a browser other than Internet Explorer to watch this video.

Today is LLCC’s first ever Giving Day! The purpose of this 24-hour campaign is to advance the mission of the college while raising needed funds for students who may find themselves at risk of dropping out of class due to an emergency situation.

The Pay It Forward fund helps students in need like the mother of four who was evicted and needed payment for a week’s motel stay and groceries. No amount is too small when combined with gifts from other donors. Approximately $2,900 has been raised so far toward the goal of $5,000 to replenish the fund.

The gift of an education is invaluable. Make your gift today in support of students in need. For more information or to donate go to https://llccfoundation.org/giving-day or call the LLCC Foundation at 786-2785. Faculty and staff donors will receive a sticker good for a “jeans day” of their choice. #LLCCGivingDay

First ever LLCC Giving Day

NOTE: Use a browser other than Internet Explorer to watch this video.

LLCC’s first ever Giving Day will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 25. The purpose of this 24-hour day of giving is to advance the mission of the college while raising essential funds for the emergency needs of our students.

Students, alumni, faculty, staff and the community are invited to participate in Giving Day. Contributions to the Pay It Forward fund support our students. Through this fund we were able to assist the following:

  • The father raising seven children who lost his job just before Christmas.
  • A nursing student who was taking cold showers because she had no gas in her home.
  • A mother of four who became homeless after being evicted.

Will you help? Our goal is to raise $5,000 to help replenish the Pay It Forward fund. For more information or to donate go to https://llccfoundation.org/giving-day or call the LLCC Foundation at 786-2785. Faculty and staff donors will receive a sticker good for a “jeans day” of their choice. #LLCCGivingDay
