More than 4.5 million people in the U.S. need blood transfusions each year and 1 pint of whole blood saves 3 or more lives.
ImpactLife will be on the LLCC main campus to make donating blood convenient! Please consider donating on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Appointments are required and registration for the blood drive is available online.
As an additional incentive to participate, donors will receive:
$10 gift card option or 500 bonus points for whole blood donations
$25 gift card option or 1500 bonus points for double red donations
The college will honor veterans at its 28th Annual Veterans Day Ceremony, sponsored by LLCC Student Life. The ceremony will begin at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 10 in A. Lincoln Commons with a reception to follow. This event honors all veterans, including LLCC faculty, staff and students who served in the armed forces, and it is open to the public.
We look forward to honoring those who have served our country. To be included in the printed program, please complete this Veterans Day Recognition Form no later than Oct. 31.
LLCC Student Life promotes the mission of the college by providing quality programs and services that enhance the campus experience through leadership, educational and multicultural programs, and initiatives. Learn more about how they do this by stopping by the office (lower level, Menard Hall) between 1-3 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 1 for the first departmental spotlight of the year!
Open house attendees will have the opportunity to tour the LLCC food pantry and to hear more about the active student clubs and other events on the calendar. Of course, no Student Life sponsored activity would be complete without snacks and, this time, they’ll be fall-themed!
