Next Moving Forward info session Oct. 12

Moving Forward to LLCC virtual information sessions on majors and career training programs began yesterday evening with “Moving Forward to LLCC in Health Professions.” Presenters were Dr. Cynthia Maskey, Janelle Murphy, Nick Ferreira and Emily Smith. Prospective students learned about the variety of programs available in health professions, opportunities in the field and next steps to enroll.

LLCC Social Sciences and BusinessThe next session on Monday, Oct. 12 will feature programs in LLCC’s Social Sciences and Business Department. Invite prospective students to register for this event and view additional October opportunities and ways to move forward to LLCC at www.llcc.edu/forward!

Moving Forward! to Lincoln Land Community College. October Opportunities for Prospective Students
Prospective students are invited to a variety of October events, including a Campus Cruise Oct. 28, to learn more about LLCC. Participants can attend virtual sessions on various majors, career programs and financial aid, and schedule tours and one-on-one appointments by visiting www.llcc.edu/forward.

Virtual information sessions for various majors include: Oct. 8, 5 p.m. – Health Professions; Oct. 12, 5 p.m. – Social Sciences and Business; Oct. 13, 5:30 p.m. – Transportation and Industrial; Oct. 19, 5:30 p.m. – Math, Computer Science, Natural and Agricultural Sciences; Oct. 21, 5 p.m. – Arts, Communication, English and Humanities; Oct. 26, 5:30 p.m. – Short-term training programs at LLCC’s Capital City Training Center; Oct. 29, 5:30 p.m. – Culinary and Hospitality.

LLCC is also hosting free virtual events about the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) during October. FAFSA completion events will be held Oct. 6, 6 p.m.; Oct. 14, 5 p.m.; Oct. 15, 5 p.m.; Oct. 20, 5 p.m.; Oct. 22, 5 p.m.; and Oct. 28, 3 p.m.

During the Campus Cruise on Oct. 28, 3:30-6 p.m., participants can take a tour of campus from their cars, accessing videos on their smart phones at various stops along the way. Prospective students who complete an information request form will get a free T-shirt that they can pick up at the cruise.

Other Moving Forward to LLCC opportunities include taking a virtual tour or signing up for an in-person tour, booking a virtual or in-person meeting for assistance with admission, financial aid, accessibility services and more.
