Website content migration

Website content from www.llcc.edu will soon be migrated to a development site. The Web Team thanks administrators and website content managers for their assistance in evaluating content on pages to help us create an inviting and simplified experience for our prospective students to navigate.

As a reminder, we ask that any additional content updates/requests for removals be completed by Aug. 19 so that we can ensure they will be captured in migration.

While changes can still be made to the current site after Aug. 19, we ask that only priority updates be made because it will not be automatically transferred to the new site. Please note: After Aug. 19, content managers will need to keep a log of any changes made and what pages they are associated with so that we can work together to ensure it later gets updated on the new site as well.

Thank you for your help as we work through this process!

Welcome Week greeters still needed

LLCC Public Relations and Marketing would appreciate your assistance during fall Welcome Week! PRM is looking for a few more volunteers to assist at the welcome table in A. Lincoln Commons on Monday, Aug. 23, and Tuesday, Aug. 24.

The welcome table will be up Aug. 23-26 during the first week of fall classes. By assisting, you can help students get a great start to the semester — greeting them, answering their questions, providing directions and encouraging them to stop by the Welcome Week events hosted by LLCC Student Life! An FAQ reference sheet will be on the table along with highlighters to help in marking students’ routes to their classes. We will also have staff at a separate information table assisting students with the Lincoln Landing app. Because social distancing may not be possible when providing assistance to students, we ask those fully vaccinated to consider volunteering as greeters.

To sign up, add your name to this fall Welcome Week sign-up sheet or contact Amy Flynn at amy.flynn@llcc.edu.

Ordering promotional items with the college’s name or logo

As a reminder, if a college department (with the exception of Athletics, Student Life and Bookstore) has funds and wishes to purchase promotional items that would contain the college logo or name, here are the steps to take. These guidelines are intended to insure consistency, quality and value of promotional items.

  1. Complete a PRM KBOX work order, indicating the items you wish to purchase and the quantity, color and other specifications. You may suggest a vendor, but it is not necessary.
  2. PRM will find a vendor for the items and provide you with price information.
  3. If you approve of the price, PRM will contact the vendor and provide the appropriate artwork and deadlines.
  4. You (or your department assistant) will need to create a requisition on Colleague for the item(s). Once the requisition is approved, the purchasing office will then send the vendor a PO to place the order.

During the session on agriculture, students toured the simulation and soils labs and took part in hands-on activities, including practicing their drone flying skills!
