New College Success video

LLCC Public Relations and Marketing has launched the new “College Success” campaign. The campaign, targeting transfer students, will run alongside the “Get in. Get Trained. Get a Job” campaign targeting workforce students.

Lanphier dual credit students visit campus

Birds, science experiments and snakes … it was a day of hands-on learning for Lanphier High School dual credit students! The Advanced Biology class taught by Laura Bohlen visited LLCC and learned about the bird banding process, collected water samples from Lake Macoupin and tested the samples in a lab. A few brave students even held a snake! The day’s activities were coordinated by Becky Croteau, professor of biology, and Vern Keen volunteered at the bird banding station.

PRM brings home the gold!

Greg Walbert holding Paragon awardLLCC Public Relations and Marketing won the top national award for logo wear design at the 2022 National Council on Marketing and Public Relations Paragon Awards Ceremony March 25 in Denver, Colo. The “Driven to Succeed” logo was designed by Greg Walbert, graphic design manager, for T-shirts worn by faculty and staff at the 2021 Commencement Parade and also on other commemorative items.

Judges’ comments were that they could “only imagine how inspirational it was for graduates to be greeted by a sea of  ‘Driven to Succeed’ T-shirts as they traveled through the parade.”

Lynn standing next to NCMPR presidents bannerAlso at the NCMPR conference, Lynn Whalen, chief communications officer, was honored for eight years of service on NCMPR Board of Directors including two years as director-at-large and one year each as treasurer, secretary, vice president, president, immediate past president and past president.
