LLCC Public Relations and Marketing would appreciate your assistance during summer session Welcome Week! PRM is looking for volunteers to assist at the welcome table in A. Lincoln Commons June 5-8 during the first week of summer classes.

Help students get a great start to the term by greeting them, answering their questions and providing directions! An FAQ reference sheet will be on the table along with highlighters to help in marking students’ routes to their classes.

Summer Campus Visit Day, June 20

Mark your calendars! Summer 2023 Campus Visit Day will be held Tuesday, June 20, 10 a.m.-noon.

Campus Visit Day is a special campus preview event designed for individuals interested in starting or finishing a college degree or certificate. The event provides information on how to enroll and pay for college. Visitors are invited to view exhibits and speak with LLCC representatives, tour select areas of campus and apply for admission. Refreshments will feature baked goods from LLCC Culinary Arts.

BSU hosts event for D186 seniors

Students at hot chocolate bar and exhibits in TrutterMembers of the LLCC Black Student Union (BSU) welcomed approximately 60 District 186 seniors to BSU Fest Friday, April 21, on the Springfield campus.

The event was held to help students explore educational options and enhance community connection and inclusion among Black students.

Participants toured campus; participated in sonography, poetry or natural hair care workshops; and heard from BSU alumni, faculty and staff.

Welcome Sarah Frey

Sarah FreySarah Frey joined LLCC April 17 as website and social media writing coordinator. She manages her own photography business and previously worked as a marketing specialist for Memorial Health, Home Care. Sarah earned a bachelor’s degree in interactive media from Simpson College and an associate of applied science degree in interactive and social media marketing from Southeastern Community College.
