Life, LTD, critical illness/accident open enrollment ends Friday

Open enrollment ends December 2, 2016 at 5 p.m. for the following voluntary benefits.  Please read each section below carefully for more information on what you need to do.

Long-Term Disability Insurance: A personalized enrollment form was sent to you via your campus mailbox.  If you did not receive the form, please contact the HR office.  If you are a current LTD plan participant, please note that you must complete the enrollment form if you wish to continue your coverage.  If we do not receive your form, your coverage will end December 31, 2016.

Life Insurance:  During open enrollment, you have an opportunity to increase your life insurance coverage.  A personalized enrollment form was sent to you via your campus mailbox.  If you did not receive the form, please contact the HR office.  Your personalized form contains your current coverage information to assist in your decision making process.

Critical Illness and Accident Insurance:  These are two voluntary benefits that were introduced two years ago.  Attached to the email you received from HR is information about both types of coverage, an enrollment form and instructions for completing the enrollment form if you wish to participate in one or both of these insurance benefits.  Current plan participants are not required to complete the enrollment form if they wish to continue their coverage.

Spring 2017 Employee Tuition Waiver due Nov. 30

To all full-time employees who plan on using the employee tuition waiver for themselves or their qualified dependents for SPRING 2017 LLCC classes: Please complete and submit your tuition waiver application to Human Resources no later than WEDNESDAY, NOV. 30, 2016. That will ensure the waiver will be notated on your account, which will prevent your classes from being dropped.

If you anticipate registering on or after Wednesday, November 30, please submit your tuition waiver application to Human Resources either before or the day of your registration so your account can be notated in a timely manner. VALIC rep on campus today

In an effort to provide you with the tools to better prepare to meet your financial and retirement goals, LLCC’s VALIC rep, Terri Bailey, will be onsite TODAY 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in the VP conference room, Menard Hall, to address any questions you may have regarding your financial and retirement goals, such as:

  • Planning, setting up your retirement plan
  • Budgeting, to meet your savings goals
  • Managing your investments
  • Calculation contributions to meet your future retirement needs

If you have not met the VALIC advisor, here is your opportunity to get acquainted. Come learn about the differences between the 403B and the 457 (deferred compensation) plans available at LLCC! Last day to Register for SURS Counseling

A reminder that today, Oct. 14, is the last day to register for a retirement counseling appointment when SURS is on campus Nov. 16. SURS will offer one-on-one retirement counseling appointments for employees who are within four years of retirement eligibility and have not met with SURS in the past 12 months, you can contact SURS to schedule an appointment.  Please follow the attached instructions: Scheduling your SURS appointment.

If you do not qualify for a one-on-one appointment, you will have other opportunities to ask questions this fall.  SURS will be present on campus during the upcoming Benefits Fair (Oct. 11) and the fall Professional Development Day (Nov. 1).

Wellness Screenings, Benefits Fair & Flu Shot Clinic tomorrow

Tomorrow, Oct. 11 from 7-11:30 a.m., LLCC will once again be offering benefit-eligible employees and their spouses the opportunity to participate in a wellness screening and flu shot clinic in the Trutter Center.  To participate, view the screening guide for detailed instructions to register.  The screening and flu shot is free to benefit-eligible employees and their spouses who are currently enrolled in an LLCC health insurance plan.  For those who are not on LLCC’s health insurance, you may still participate, but you will be responsible for the cost of the screening and flu shot.

Employees who fully participate in the wellness screening (biometric screening AND online health risk assessment questionnaire) will receive a $50 Visa gift card!

We will also be sponsoring a benefits fair in the Trutter Center, giving employees an opportunity to interact with various benefit providers who will be on-hand to answer your questions.  Benefits fair attendees will be eligible to participate in a drawing for prizes!
