HR holding open labs to assist employees with enrollment tasks

Thursday, June 6 is the deadline to complete all FY20 insurance open enrollment activities. These tasks must be completed by all benefit-eligible employees. If you have gone online and completed all of your open enrollment tasks, thank you! There is nothing more you need to do. For those who have yet to complete open enrollment, please click on the following link and login with your LLCC username and password:

Once you are logged in, click on the three dots in the upper left-hand corner and select Employee Records. You should see a list of tasks for you to complete. Simply select View for each item and follow the instructions provided.

LLCC Human Resources will hold open lab periods throughout this week to assist employees with their online enrollment tasks. The open labs will be held in Menard Hall, Room 2201. The remaining times and days are listed below.

  • Wednesday, June 5, 9-11 a.m.
  • Thursday, June 6, 9-11 a.m. AND 2-4 p.m.

Complete open enrollment for benefits by June 6

As a reminder, the annual open enrollment process for all benefit options is being conducted entirely online. On Monday, May 6, you received an email prompting you to complete tasks related to open enrollment. The email contained a link to access your open enrollment tasks. You will use your LLCC login credentials to access the system. You will be immediately taken to the My Tasks page, which will list all of the items you must complete. Please view each item and complete according to the instructions by no later than Thursday, June 6, 2019. To aid you in completing this process, a benefit statement was mailed to your home and listed what your current coverage is for all options.

Introducing DirectPath

Effective immediately, employees have access to a health care advocacy and consumerism tool, DirectPath. You have access to advocates who can assist you with resolving claims and billing issues, finding a doctor or hospital, assisting with prior authorizations and providing cost and quality comparisons for certain procedures and tests.

Summer hours begin today

Summer hours. LLCC is open Monday-Thursday, May 20-Aug. 8. Regular hours of operation resume Aug. 12.

The college will be closed on Fridays during the 12 weeks of summer beginning Friday, May 24, 2019 and ending on Friday, August 9, 2019. Please see the attached memo from LLCC Human Resources regarding the summer hours schedule.

Congratulations to the Employee Recognition Ceremony honorees!

Congratulations to the honorees recognized at the Employee Recognition and Appreciation Ceremony May 16!

Dr. Jennifer O’Malley, professor of biology, was named the 2019 Drs. Raymond and Ann Pearson Master Teacher. The award is presented annually to an outstanding full-time LLCC faculty member who practices his or her profession in an exemplary manner. Finalists were Dr. Deborah Brothers, Dr. Paul Hudson, Dr. Judith Nichols and Katie Tice, CPA.

Distinguished Service Award winnersThe college also awarded the 2019 Distinguished Service Awards to individuals who demonstrate exemplary leadership and service to the college community, promote a student-focused environment and exhibit a strong commitment to the college’s core values. Distinguished Service Award recipients were Nancy Sweet, director of culinary programs and operations; Linda Brown, adjunct instructor; Bobbi Henry, research and analytics manager; Christine Marietta, administrative assistant, LLCC-Litchfield; and Dr. Brenda Michel, professor of nursing.

Honored for 30 years of service was Dr. Cynthia Maskey.

Health insurance presentation slides available; open-house session May 15

On May 7, a presentation was given on changes to health insurance plans effective July 1, 2019.  The slides from the presentation have been uploaded to the HR Portal site.  You also have an opportunity on Wednesday, May 15 to speak with a representative from our third-party administrator who can answer questions about our health insurance plans, specific claims, flexible spending accounts and health savings accounts. She will be available, open house-style, from 10-11:30 a.m. and 1-3 p.m. in the HR Conference Room.

Note about the online enrollment checklist

On May 6, a system email from Lincoln Land Community College was sent to all benefit-eligible employees, prompting you to login and complete the FY20 Open Enrollment Checklist. This checklist contains a series of online forms to be completed for open enrollment by June 6, 2019. One required form is for health savings account contributions. This is a required form, even if you are not on the high deductible plan and do not have a health savings account. If the form does not apply to you, simply fill in the required fields and indicate $0.00 for contributions. We must have this form available for everyone in the event that an Open Access Plan participant wishes to change to the High Deductible Plan.
