Around the World Gourmet Dinner Kit Pickup Event, Friday, Nov. 3

Around the World LLCC Foundation Dinner Kit Pickup. Hosted by LLCC Hospitality Management & Culinary Arts Program. Lincoln Land Community College Foundation.The LLCC Foundation in partnership with LLCC’s Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts program is offering a five-course gourmet dinner kit pickup on Friday, Nov.3. The menu features dishes prepared by culinary students which can be finished and served with a little preparation at home.

Gourmet dinner kits with drink pairings are $150, and each kit serves two people. View the menu and order your gourmet dinner kits today at https://llccfoundation.org/around-the-world. Kits must be pre-purchased and can be picked up from 4-5:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 3. This fundraiser benefits our students and programs while providing a hands-on experience for culinary students.

Bistro Verde open today-Thursday

Bistro To Go in the Workforce Careers Center
Bistro To Go, LLCC’s student-led café, is open today, tomorrow and Thursday this week, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. It offers a counter service concept with soups, salads, sandwiches, baked goods, coffees and drinks. It will be open Tuesdays-Thursdays through Oct. 5.

From Oct. 24-Nov. 16 (closed Nov. 7), the café will transform into Bistro Verde, a casual, dine-in restaurant experience.

Dr. Nancy Sweet, dean, Workforce Institute, was interviewed by WICS and WAND yesterday about LLCC’s Workforce Careers Expo. The event connected high school students with local employers to learn about careers in the skilled trades. Approximately 875 high school students and 74 employers participated.

LLCC’s Workforce Careers and Agriculture Expos will be held on campus today, Sept. 21. The outdoor Workforce Expo connects high school students with local employers to learn about careers in the skilled trades. More than 900 high school students and 70 employers are expected at the event. Two sessions will be held: from 8-11 a.m. and noon-3 p.m. The Ag Expo will begin at 9 a.m. in the LLCC Kreher Agriculture Center.

Lots 2, 4, 6 and 8 on the southwest side of campus and the exit drive heading north from the Workforce Careers Center are closed for the event. Parking spots on the east side of the Workforce Careers Center parking lot are reserved for guests, and Lots 17 and 18 north of the Kreher Agriculture Center are reserved for bus parking.
