SAAPM Finale Runway Show

In honor of Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month (SAAPM), the LLCC SAVE Taskforce and Compliance and Prevention office are hosting the annual red carpet runway show on Tuesday, April 30 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in A. Lincoln Commons. ALL individuals are encouraged to take a pledge to turn their awareness into action and then “walk the walk” down the runway. Heels are available for participants to use and are provided by the Prairie Center Against Sexual Assault. Today is Take a Stand Tuesday in honor of Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month. Take a Stand Tuesday is an annual event which allows faculty, staff and students to show the campus community that they are committed to taking a stand against sexual assault. Join us in celebrating this year’s theme, “Awareness to Action,” by stopping the table in the A. Lincoln Commons from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. today, where educational materials, awareness ribbons and pledges will be available. Questions? Want to get involved? Just remember that the goal is to have all time slots filled from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The objective is to provide our campus community with an all-day learning opportunity about how individuals can help prevent sexual assault and support survivors, as well as to symbolize our collective commitment to “taking a stand” against sexual assault.
