Condolences to Dick Rogers
Our sincere condolences to Dick Rogers, professor of automotive technology, on the passing of his sister, Karen Thomas. Services will take place Friday, July 22. Gifts may be made in her honor to the LLCC Foundation Pay It Forward fund.
Accessing KBOX Forms
The PRM Project Request, Institutional Research and Effectiveness queries, Duplication/Print Shop submission and Facilities Services Work Order system have been migrated to new queues within KBOX, the ITS Service Desk software application. There are multiple ways to access these!
- If you are on a college PC, click the ITS Service Desk icon on your desktop.
- From our website, go to MyLLCC and click KBOX Forms under Faculty/Staff Resources.
- Directly type in the url https://help.llcc.edu.
- Some department portal pages have links to the new KBOX forms in place of the old forms.
Frequently asked questions about using KBOX forms can be found on the ITS Services website and click on the News icon. Should you require assistance with the KBOX software to submit, view or add a comment to an existing ticket, please contact the ITS Service Desk at 786.2555 or helpme@llcc.edu during our scheduled hours and/or view the available documentation on the Employee Portal, IT, Faculty & Staff Specialized ITS Training page. You will still contact the department directly for inquiries regarding your ticket requests.

LLCC Murray Gallery features summer installation: “The Worker Line”
Stop by the James. S. Murray Gallery to view an installation by artist Jeff Miller called “The Worker Line.” The public may view the installation Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. through July 28.
Miller, from Beardstown, studied with the LLCC art department before earning a bachelor’s degree at Western Illinois University, where he officially fell for printmaking. He is currently pursuing a master of fine arts degree at Iowa State University where his love for printmaking has morphed and mutated in the light of new media and installation. His artwork uses a mixed mixed-media approach to printmaking to develop installations that explore working class struggle. Continue reading
Springfield Chamber Q5 funds new LLCC business mentoring and internship program for African-American males
Local African-American males will have opportunities to explore various career paths within the Springfield community through a new mentoring and internship program announced by Lincoln Land Community College and The Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce.
The Open Door program, funded by the Chamber’s Quantum Growth Economic Development Partnership (Q5), will begin this fall when 20-30 African-American males who attend LLCC will be offered mentoring and internships at local businesses and organizations.
“The program will provide minority students with strategic opportunities to ‘try on’ various careers that exist within our community,” said Chamber President and CEO Chris Hembrough. “The opportunities will result in internships through local businesses and organizations, provide a combination of academic and business mentoring, and ultimately lead to employment opportunities related to the career path they have both discovered and decided to pursue.” Continue reading
